Carol and
Her Music |
Written in 1972,
"I Want Us To Be Together In Heaven" has been recorded in
over twenty five states and Canada. The song was in the top-ten on
the Southern Gospel Charts by The Principals for many months - AND
is the only song to have been in the Top 20 by two different groups
(The Principals and The Inspirations) for many months - AND is the
only song to have been in the Top 80 by three different groups (The
Principals, The Inspirations and The Singing Cooks). Many testimonies
of Salvation and Re-Dedication have been shared with Carol by the
'many' groups who've recorded the song, throughout these past thirty
years.
The author Carol McGinnis Yeje, has been writing and ministering-in-music
throughout middle and North Georgia - and special concerts in other
states. She is an 'activist' for the family and has held meetings
and press-conferences through her non-progit organization, "Guiding
Action Through Education," informing the community on issues
that affect the family. Carol is a Radio/TV producer and has hosted
several radio 'talk' shows, and her own cable TV show, "Carol
Mc's Family Hour," which received top ratings during its two
year run. Both radio and TV shows had interviews with pro-family leaders.
The TV show also featured her "Gospel Music Videos," and
local amateur children's talent. She also is the author of several
books.
Carol chose to re-release many songs that were on her 1986 album,
and include some old and some new songs. Her re-make of "You'll
Never Defeat Us" is 'framed' around the daily news reports of
Alkida threats. "No One's Gathering" was written after the
death of her father. "Sounds Like Home To Me" was written
after the death of her sister, Helen. (Carol's sister, Ethel, her
brother Charles, and Mom and Dad, Huber and Annis (Nalley) McGinnis,
were already deceased.) "Sounds Like Home" is also the name
of a new TV project Carol has created and holds copyrights, which
will be pitched to national cable networks for future airing.
Carol lives in her home town of Alpharetta, Georgia, with her husband, Elias.
She has two step-children, Delilah and Elisur. Elias and Carol have
eight grandchildren. |
